# History of German Hacker Scene
* 1981 West-Berlin, Foundation of the Chaos Computer Club
* CCC grew to be Europe's biggest Hacker association
* center of IT expertise, pretty much acts as an NGO
* decentralized structures:
* CCC-ERFAs (28 in bigger german cities + 2 Austria + 1 Switzerland)
* plus 51 Chaostreffs (like my Schaffenburg e.V.)

* went there at random times expecting to get their $stuff fixed for free
* Repair-Café was cancelled after the second event
